I think the media loves McCain.

We hear a lot about Clinton not having released her tax returns. Neither has McCain. Kerry was denigrated because his houses were in Teresa's name. Guess who's name the McCain houses are in? We haven't heard much about the lobbyists who run his campaign. We certainly heard about Romney's.
We haven't heard anything about his economic plans.

He's called a hero, but I'm not aware of a single heroic deed that he is credited with.

George W. Bush's academic record is more favorable than McCain's. McCain also admits to being a party boy. Is he still drinking?

What about his potty mouth?

I don't think he will be examined like a democratic candidate or some of the lesser known republican candidates have been. It got messy for him in 2000 only because he was up against someone who had Rove running his campaign. The democrats won't drag him through the mud, we only do that to our own He has a story as a POW and really not much else. I lost all respect for him in his run against Bush. I don't think there was any there there to begin with and my earlier admiration was misplaced.

I'm beginning to believe we have an impossible system. We have months yet until we actually vote for a candidate and I'm already sick of all of them.

I think McCain's only credit's to his name is his status as a POW. He seems pretty messed up because of it and trigger happy, he's too willing to compromise everything his party is supposed to stand for. I don't know how he ended up being the nomination for the republicans, but it's a crying shame... The media will start in on him as soon as the democrats have an actual nomination though, he's just their poster boy for now. That will change though.
