I don't think he will be examined like a democratic candidate or some of the lesser known republican candidates have been. It got messy for him in 2000 only because he was up against someone who had Rove running his campaign. The democrats won't drag him through the mud, we only do that to our own

He has a story as a POW and really not much else. I lost all respect for him in his run against Bush. I don't think there was any there there to begin with and my earlier admiration was misplaced.
I'm beginning to believe we have an impossible system. We have months yet until we actually vote for a candidate and I'm already sick of all of them.
