By the way abortions are not a safe, simple procedure. Tell that to the women who have perforated uteruses, etc... not to mention the emotional effect on post-abortive woman AND men.

Great post!!! The local director of the abortion mill here is just like you stated above. She protested when they allowed sharpshooters to thin the deer population and then went to the clinic everyday to have babies killed up to 20 weeks in the womb!!!! Can you say hypocrite????
I think prochoice people like to think of the developing child in the womb as tissue otherwise how do you say to another woman "I'm soooo glad abortion is legal so you can kill your child"?

Serously, Kathy, do you think there is no emotional baggage or effect on those people who are the product of an unwanted pregnancy or on a woman who has to go through an unwanted pregnancy. Or how many women die from childbirth each year or from high risk pregnancy due to failed birth control.

All of us value life that is here. Why conservatives do not mourn the taking of a million lives in Iraq baffles me. Frankly, we do need to start thinking about the people that are here. This planet won't be able to support too many more.

What a naive world you and your buddies want-free sex, no resposibilities. Have unprotected sex? Go take a chemical concoction (that have side effects) to make sure you don't end up pregnant. Oops, I find myself pregnant-since I don't want this pregnancy I'll just skip off to the abortion mill and kill either my son or daughter. Afterall I would rather kill my child than take a chance on having things actually turn out ok. Ever thought you might end up loving the child once it's born? How do YOU know who's going to end up troubled and whose not. Your solution is to just kill them to make sure it doesn't happen. I urge you to read Forbidden Gried to educate yourself on the damage abortion does to woman (and men). Maybe that will help you see the light.

We do care about the lives lost in Iraq. I support our military men and women. You do have to remember that living under Sadam was a daily dice roll as to whether or not you might get raped by his sons or your husband disappear never to he heard from or seen again. Not going to debate the war but not going to let an ASSUMPTION (judgment????? lol) be made that conservatives don't care.

All forms of birth control have side effects. That is the chance you take when you choose to have sex. It's pretty simple actually. Maybe some of you need to go back and learn about the birds and bees and how someone gets pregnant. That's why the Catholic church says no artificial birth control. Lots of them are abortifacients (sp?) and since we believe life begins at conception we don't approve of these. Actually it IS black and white.
Rape and pregnancy? This is a tiny, tiny statistic and very tragic. However, I have read many testimonies from women who have been raped and had the baby. They said it was a way to make a horrible action have one good thing come of it-a new life.

All drugs have side effects. I am not Catholic and never have been. You believe different things than I do. I have seen desperate poverty caused by having large families. People that are here, walking and talking, have to takke precedent.

One million over 20 years-46 million over 35 years in the US with abortion. And ALL of the 46 million had NO voice and NO chance. At least if you were an Iraqi you had a few choices, You have life, possible love and families, etc... and HOPE.

I don't remember a single Iraqi inviting George Bush to come over and kill their children and loved ones. Remember "Shock and Awe?" It killed no one but civilians. No, the Iraqi people had no choice in this matter. These were people who could laugh and form thoughts.
