What I think should be done is either A) an IME--Independent Medical Exam (assuming you could find a physician that all candidates agreed upon), or B) a records review (with all names blacked out) of the last 10 years.

That is the only way you will get a truly objective viewpoint of the candidates' and/or President's physical health.

I would love, love, love to see each and every candidate undergo a complete psych eval. I think it would be so interesting to see how (or if LOL) their minds truly work.

That's not much of a medical record, if you ask me. I want to see details -- not a letter written by a doctor telling me he is fit for the office of President. How is it Obama can release just a letter? Is he going to release complete medical records at a later time?

I really don't want to see a candidate's complete medical history. There is no need for me to know if McCain takes Viagra or Clinton had a yeast infection.

Even though they're public figures, they should still be entitled to a little privacy and dignity,

I hope when he's the candidate -- as McCain is for the Republicans -- that he'll release more of his records. I certainly don't need to see the results of his last stool sample testing, but a bit more detail would be reassuring.

I was glad to see the doctor testify to his mental health. I don't think McCain had any records to that effect, at least, none that I heard about.
