Ok..LOL ..Obama claims experience

Of course this comes from foxnews, so some will claim it is slanted.

Obama: I Have More Executive Experience Than Palin - America’s Election HQ

Parts of the story..click link to read it all.

"Speaking on a cable news channel Monday night, the Democratic presidential nominee said he is better prepared to handle a disaster like Hurricane Gustav because of his pursuit of the White House.“Well, my understanding is that Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the last couple of years,” Obama said.

John McCain’s spokesman called the suggestion “laughable.”.....
“For Barack Obama to argue that he’s experienced enough to be president because he’s running for president is desperate circular logic and its laughable. It is a testament to Barack Obama’s inexperience and failing qualifications that he would stoop to passing off his candidacy as comparable to Governor Sarah Palin’s executive experience managing a budget of over $10 billion and more than 24,000 employees,” said spokesman Tucker Bounds

Actually, Obama is right when he says that. Even Republicans would have to admit that he has a very well managed campaign. The orginazition is formidable.

I think America agrees with him from looking at the polls.

Obama is just creepy if you ask me..........but there is nothing "formidable" about him or his organization. Although I'm sure he'd appreciate the overstated admiration.

Hilarious. He's really reaching.

He doesn't run his campaign. He doesn't run the budget numbers and doesn't make the big calls.

The DNC is doing all that.

Just how stupid does he think the American people are?

The buck has never, ever stopped with him.

It's so laughable that you have to wonder about the IQ of anyone who make such an outrageous statement. And anyone who would believe it is so stupid that they shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Bwa ha ha! So true it's painful.

Hey -- remember when Al Gore made some fundraising calls from his White House office and that was a big stink because you can't use the White House for political work? Can someone explain why it was ok for George Bush to make a political, partisan speech from the White House last night? I know Bush isn't really known for his high ethical standards, but still, what the heck?

My guess is that the RNC had to pay for all the equipment, etc. , to make that happen.

It wasn't that Gore was *in* the White House (or wherever he was). It was that he was using phone lines paid for by Uncle Sam.

I have every confidence that if anything untoward happened that the Dems would be all over it.

Bush and all his cronies have declared themselves above the law. All of his Attorney Generals have agreed with him.

While I'm sure that the DNC offers input, they do not run Obama's campaign; Obama makes the final decisions. His campaign reflects his beliefs and his style.

Although you may see him as a messiah, he doesn't look at himself that way.

I'm pretty sure it's kosher for George to be at (via satellite) the Republican convention. That is not the same as the Gore issue at all.

What makes you say this? Not being snarky - I'm serious.

I think it's been pretty obvious that the DNC has been rooting for Obama for a long time, and grooming him for this position. I think Hillary felt this way, as well.

I'd say that the RNC called the shots for GWB as much or more than GWB himself did during the campaign. I think Reagan called his own. I think the DNC called them for Clinton during his first run but not his second. I don't think McCain is letting the RNC do it, but assume he's happy to have them help Palin get up to speed on the things she's going to be confronted with.

But where B.O. is concerned, I really do think they're pulling a lot of strings.
