Obama vs Palin experience

I was just watching MSNBC and that Rachel Maddou "chic" make a statement about Palin being a problem because if she were to become the president she doesn't have as much experience as if Biden would become president. My brilliant son pointed out how silly that statement was because if she were to become President she could then pick an experienced VP which would then be the same situation as it currently is with the Obama/Biden ticket! So by her own reasoning there really shouldn't be a problem with the McCain/Palin ticket.

Your son his partly right she would pick the new VP.

This site is really written for kids to understand.

The United States Constitution - The U.S. Constitution Online - USConstitution.net

1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Yes, the Congress and House would have to approve it but that's not really the point of the post. The point was the experience factor and how they are condeming the McCain/Palin ticker, playing devils advocate because of McCains age and if that happens they might end up with the same type ticket as Obama/Biden. Maybe I didn't state my point clearly enough.

I was just providing you with a "link". (LOL)
Some would argue that your son was not right to begin with.

Anyway, yes your point is correct. Palin, if she moved up to President (because of death, etc) could pick a "more experienced" person as VP.

We're ignoring the thread just like you and friends did when a similar thread was started about Senator McCain's experience a few days ago.

Besides looks like you all were having plenty of fun without us.

Irony . . . you keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means. (Sorry for the paraphrase, PB fans!)

OP made an observation and came to a conclusion about the observation. I don't see a question. It would be petty to correct the spelling of "chic" so, respecting the OP's opinion, I just left the topic alone.

It's true that she was the mayor of a town with a population of less than 5000. It's also true that she was the governor of a state with a population little more than that of Charlotte, NC. She seems to be very hands on. because the town librarian opposed Palin's efforts to ban books, Palin threatened to fire her. The town rallied in support of the librarian.

It's not much. She calls herself a fiscal conservative but in her short tenure, Wassilla went from 0 debt to 22 million in debt.

Or the spelling of Maddow. Or explain "irony."

What are we to do, Ana? KTS is upset when we respond and upset when we don't. Poor KTS. I feel so bad to her.
