Fair and Balanced Thread Closing.....

Can a mod explain to me why some threads in the Election Forum are closed and others are left open when both (or more than 2) in question are over the 50 post limit???

Clearly while you see one is over 50 and you close it, you should be "fair and balanced" and close the others over 50. Or, just leave them both ( all) open.

Any mods out there care to take this one on???

It's been like that for awhile now. My guess is that it depends on who is moderating. There was a moderator that was closing them consistently at the 50 post mark recently though.

My guess is that it depends on when the mod has time to get over here and notice. Since the mods are all volunteer, I suspect they have actual lives to lead outside this board.

Of course, that probably wouldn't fit the VLWC theories.

That is the answer for me. There are only a few of us moderating and I don't jump in on the boards that are being overseen by someone else. I had read some posts a while back regarding some concern with them not being closed at 50 as they should be and as they once were, so I thought I'd watch for them as I checked in (on the unmoderated boards).

I don't have as much time as I would like to be on, so I really never close them for content since I don't have time to read through everything. If anyone ever has any concerns on an unmoderated board, please feel free to PM me. That way I will see it when I am able to get back on again. Typically I am on and off after 4 pm weekdays and more so on the weekend.

Yes. On a personal note, I wish I could be on more than I am. I feel like I miss out on so much here sometimes. Lots of good info being shared daily. I swear, I used to have more time...where did it all go???
