I was pretty sure he was aver playing this card, this article just solidified my beliefs. He for sure is a smooth talker, but that won't make him a good President.

I thought this was an interesting quote and something that I absoutely agree with.

"Change won’t come from the top, I would say. Change will come from a mobilized grass roots.” ~Obama~

hmm is that a flip-flop?? Just Kidding........really I am.

That was a great article. So now we know. He had good intentions, he spoke well and made people feel good, he had good organizational skills, but he went about doing things in the same old way. And once he felt frustrated in what he was able to accomplish, he concluded it was because he didn't have enough power.

Wasn't it also during those "community organizer" days that he got hooked up with that Acorn group? And it is my understanding that he is still very much "in bed" with them now.

What's their bias? I couldn't find it.

This is from their about us page:

AboveTopSecret.com is the Internet's largest and most popular discussion board community dedicated to the intelligent exchange of ideas and debate on a wide range of "alternative topics" such as conspiracies, UFO's, paranormal, secret societies, political scandals, new world order, terrorism, and dozens of related topics with an impressive demographic mix of members.

The simple yet effective motto of our membership is "deny ignorance", which signifies an effort to apply the principals of critical thought and peer review to the provocative topics covered within.

The Motto: "Deny Ignorance"
More than a slogan and deeper than a mission statement, our members have embraced the motto of "Deny Ignorance" as our reson detre, demanding everyone who posts to aspire to a higher standard of participation. These simple two words have galvanized a broad membership base that spans the spectrum from highly speculative conspiracy writers to staunch skeptics. The result is a unique collaboration of diverse individuals rallying under this simple statement to learn from each other, discover new truths, and imagine new ideas that expand minds.

This motto has life. It has purpose. It demands ATS members to think.

It is a state of mind.

It is a sense of purpose.

It is a statement against the paradigm.

It is a rage against the mindless status-quo.

The idea of "deny ignorance" isn't a goal that ATS hopes to accomplish. Instead, it's a challenge. A call to all those who come here to aspire to a higher state of awareness through informed discussion and debate.

Deny ignorance is what we do.

It's how we think. It's how we talk. It's how we listen.

Ignorance is the social disease of history that has clouded our minds and dulled our brains. Is the evil that men do, the reason history repeats, and the cause of intolerance.

We deny it. it's not welcome here. Within these boundaries, it has no strength.

Here, ignorance is denied.

Oh snap! NOW I know who ACORN is!!!

They were big news here after our last gubernatorial race.

This group is being investigated for voter fraud right now. Apparently, their workers registered about 2,000 fraudulent voters for an election.

The ACORN workers told state investigators that they went to the Seattle public library, sat at a table and filled out the voter registration forms. They made up names, addresses, and Social Security numbers and in some cases plucked names from the phone book. One worker said it was a lot of hard work making up all those names and another said he would sit at home, smoke marijuana and fill out the forms.

Damn!!! This is could be HUGE!!! Read this:

Voter Turnout or Voter Fraud?
Interest Groups Push for Election Reform
By Jonathan Bechtle

Summary: In 2004 liberal advocacy groups
focused their activism on “getting-out-the
vote.” The groups typically urged all Americans
to vote, but their real goal was more
explicit. They wanted to count as many anti-
Bush votes as possible. At what point did
voter turnout become voter fraud?

Interesting to note:

American Elections:
Access” or Security?
Activist groups are aggressively lobbying
for “election reforms” to increase “access”
to voting at the expense of ballot box
security. These groups have formed the
National Network on State Election Reform
(NNSER) to push their agenda. NNSER members
include ACORN, Project Vote, Common
Cause, People for the American Way and the
Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under
Law. (See page 5 for NNSER list.) Their proposals
would reduce the safeguards that
protect voters and secure the integrity of their
ballots.

Hmmm. . .ACORN and Project Vote?

So what? Miss Sarah is being investigated right now too. Does that make either "investigation" proof? Can't say it is only an investigation in one case and then say it is all "political" in another. An investigation is just that -- an investigation. Only you presuming the guilt......before the final proof in either case is wrong.

Did you even read the article linked??

Apparently not. Because there is no current investigation. It was referring to an investigation that happend after the Washington State 2004 gubernatorial race. It has been investigated and they concluded that there was, in fact voter fraud by ACORN.

Here's more:

But if photo I.D. requirements had been the law in Washington state, the voter fraud scandal involving ACORN in 2006 would never have happened. According to Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed, the incident “was the worst case of election fraud in our state’s history. It was an outrage.”

Two years ago ACORN submitted just over 1,800 new voter registration forms, but there was a problem. The names were made up — all but six of the 1,800 submissions were fakes. Reed said he was appalled. . . .

ACORN paid a $25,000 settlement
