Top ten reasons liberals hate Palin

10. She's the quintessential American, and the one thing liberals hate most about America are Americans.

9. She's sworn that as soon as she gets to Washington, she's going to cut off the Democrats' balls and put them on eBay.

8. She's an anti-choice extremist who has had five babies and never thought of killing any of them.

7. They're physically intimidated by her husband.

6. They're physically intimidated by her.

5. They just know that whenever they're not looking at her, she's pointing and laughing at their penises.

4. She's murdered innocent moose and no one seems to care.

3. Hard working, blue-collar people are supposed to be anecdotes; they're not supposed to run for office.

2. Liberals are much more conscious of how shrill and annoying they are when they're around someone that knows how to use a gun.

And the number one reason liberals hate Palin...

It just seems unfair that someone can have the charisma of Obama with actual accomplishments to back it up.

**She can finish an unscripted sentence with less than eight "uhs."

I haven't seen that before. Was that from Letterman?

From Liberal Letterman? LOL..surely you jest! Not sure where it was from, someone had posted it on some site I had just wandered into..I left the page open when I went to bed last night so I would remember where I was, then my computer updated & restarted itself..grrr. It didn't seem like it was the original author who posted it though.

*sigh* and it's these kinds of posts that just incite the vile and the venom from both sides of the aisle.

Isn't enough to say that she doesn't believe the majority of what Liberals believe? Why the insinuation and/or outright statements that Liberals hate America and that a person who believes in a woman having the right to choose is a murderer? Good God!

It's not funny, it's not "cute"---it's just more crap to divide people!
Is it possible to support the candidate of your chose without degrading and insulting the other "team"? I think so...but so many of you choose not to. It's like you feed off the negativity, argument and anger. I just can't understand it.

marilynk-

I think it's pretty obvious that this is a spoof, done in the spirit of Letterman's Top Ten lists. It's poking fun at politics, just like the many Top Ten lists from the Letterman show.

In fact, there is/or was maybe a contest on the Letterman site for Top Ten Little-Known Facts About Republican V.P. Nominee Sarah Palin. It won't let me copy and paste it, but here is the link.

CBS | Late Show with David Letterman :

Maybe the Top Ten list posted here was in response to that one. It's interesting to point out that Letterman's Top ten lists have been accused of being one sided. In July there was a Top Ten spoofing Obama that has misteriously disappeared from the Latenight archives:

CBS | Late Show with David Letterman :

"The Late Show" recently featured a countdown called "Top Ten Signs Obama is Overconfident About the Presidential Campaign" on July 29. Letterman listed the following signs:

10. Proposed bill to change Oklahoma to "Oklobama"
9. Offered Bush $20 for the "Mission Accomplished" banner
8. Asked guy at Staples, "Which chair will work best in an oval-shaped office?"
7. The affair with Barbara Walters
6. Having head measured for Mount Rushmore
5. Guy sits around eating soup all day
4. He's voting for Nader
3. Offered McCain a job in gift shop at Obama presidential library
2. Announced his running mate will be Andy Dick
1. Been cruising for chicks with John Edwards

I guess what I'm getting at is that I don't find these types of spoofs devisive. They are just that, spoofs. I find the McCain/Palin ones equally as funny. Do you just have a problem with these in general?

I was watching Letterman last week, I think it was, and he was really hoping to get Sara Palin on his show. Ha, after he spoke not so favorably of her, this will be interesting to see, if she does go on his show.

One thing I have learned from all this chatter on the Election Board is to try not to lump everyone in the same category Dems/Repubs. I don't fall completely into one group, and certainly don't share ALL the beliefs of the party I support.

I don't have a problem in general w/ spoofs---I do have a problem when the spoofs ATTACK a group of people stating that they don't like America, are murderers. Read the one about Obama--nothing is mentioned that could even remotely be considered a slam on the general public or Conservatives.
I find the Obama a bit humorous. Heck even some of the Palin one is OK--it's just seems very negative towards others, and not poking fun at the candidate(s).

Marilyn, I hear you and I agree. It is okay to like your candidate, no even love your candidate's platform but does it make your candidate more right for you if you make the other side more wrong? How can we do this (by this, I mean, put the other side down with mean, cruel and dubious and certainly blown out of proportion and sometimes completely erroneous put downs) and then on November 5th suddenly all be "united" or expected to be united behind the winning party and excited for the next four years?

I don't think we ever could do this. The majority of the people who voted for whoever doesn't win, won't be happy. I would not expect them to be happy about the new President. It wasn't their choice. We could HOPE everyone would unite for the common good....but, I haven't seen it happen so far (after an election).
