Question Biden Says Hillary Would Have Been Better VP Than Him

This has just come up on the news and online. Joe Biden just stated a few hours ago that Hillary would make a better VP candidate than himself! Huh? Is this possibly a way to get Hillary in and Biden out? Maybe this is the 'meeting' Obama and Mr. Clinton have for tomorrow? Or is this just another case of Biden running his mouth too much after answering a question?

Political Radar: Biden: Hillary a Better Pick Than Me

Edited: Here's the actual link to Biden's speech: Biden Says Hillary Would have been a Better VP Pick (Wizbang)

Spokesman Ben Porritt offered this response from the McCain camp: "Barack Obama’s most important decision of this election and Biden - the candidate he selects - suggests himself that he wasn’t the right man for the job and that Hillary Clinton would have been a better choice. Biden certainly has a credible viewpoint on this."

I have to agree with Ben Porritt because he made an excellent point. A VP candidate that suggests that he isn't the right man for the job isn't exactly going to galvanize voters! But, a VP candidate suggesting that he isn't the right man for the job is very funny if you prefer his opposition. ROFL!

I think that would be harder to do than just switching vp candidates. I think since he was nominated at the convention it would be a real mess to switch now.

He also says that she is qualified to be President. Now this is pure speculation on my part, but do you think he's looking down the road to 2012?

I really think the Dems made the wrong decision not going with Clinton. I still wouldn't have voted for her, as her stand on the issues don't match up with mine, but I think she would have been a much better canidate.

I think there was too much bad blood between Hilary & Barry for him to have chosen her.

If he switched, it would be over for him, ie: he can't even make the right decision for his running mate, how is he going to make decisions for the country?

Woops! I meant that the Dems should have given her the nomination for President. LOL

But yeah, I don't think they could have ran on the same ticket without looking foolish considering how badly they attacked each other in the primaries.

That was quite odd to hear today. Not that he's mistaken, but just a very bizarre thing for him to say.

The public wanted it (dems anyway) but the candidates could not get past it.

I wonder why McCain hasn't capitalized on Biden's speech? It doesn't make Obama look very good that his own running mate thnks he screwed up in such an important decision. With the admission from Biden himself that he's not the best person for the job, it could only help McCain's candidacy.

I think Biden and McCain have a fairly good relationship. I know Biden has expressed before how much he respects McCain. . ."would be honored to run with him or against him" I think is what he said. I can't imagine going after Biden because he was trying to defend Clinton. That being said, McCain's camp will focus on Obama. . .that's how they will win.

Yeah. . .they know Obama can't beat McCain. That's why they are trying to make Palin the focus. .. he might have a fighting chance against her. I find it kind of amusing about Biden. It's like he knows he got picked for the losing team. I still can't believe that the Dems picked Obama over Clinton. . .it just doesn't make any sense to me.
