Is America Taking This Election As Seriously As It Should?

Also Do You All Think That In General People Know Just How Important This Election Is?

I do not think a big portion of the people have taken this election serious enough since the debates last year, before the primaries.
It seems like people have been focused on the many first "historic" moments that could happen instead of learning about the major issues facing America.

ETA: Not just the historic moment of the first African American running for president, but also the first female that was running for president. And now the first Republican woman VP pick.

Back in the early 70's there was a Female of color running. I guess she's got Barack (for color) and Hillary (female)beat to be the first. I think her name was Shirley Chism Black.

She wasn't the first either, Victoria Woodhull was. In 1872.

HRC was the first woman, IMO, to have a realistic change of getting the nod, though.

Sadly, I don't think people take many elections seriously. We're tired of hearing the fluff and BS by the politicians, the mud slinging, etc., etc. Just give us the facts.
