VP Qualifications

Interesting.

Quote:
The new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll will be released at 6:30 pm ET, but here's an early look at one set of numbers:

Forty-nine percent say that Palin is unqualified to be president if the need arises, compared with 40 percent who say she's qualified.

By contrast, 64 percent believe Biden is qualified to be president, versus just 21 percent who disagree.

Can't wait to see the whole poll tonight.

Oh, look, you forgot to post some of it!!

From NBC’s Domenico Montanaro
The McCain campaign took issue with the ABC/Washington Post poll which shows Obama up by 9. The reasoning, delivered by McCain pollster Bill McInturff (formerly the Republican half of the NBC/Wall Street Journal poll), was one of Party ID.

Those identifying as Democrats in the ABC/Washington Post poll outweighed Republican by 16 points, a wider-than-usual number, McInturff said.
“It’s way different than what other pollsters are showing,” McInturff said, citing many polls showing about a four-to-nine point Democratic Party ID advantage.

In the last NBC/WSJ survey (Sept. 6-8), there was an eight-point spread, 44% Democratic, 36% Republican. In August, the difference was nine points, 43% Dem, 34% Republican.

“I don’t think these results are indicative of what’s happening in the campaign,” McInturff said, calling the ABC/Washington Post poll an “outlier” and “unusual.”

Looks like they polled more democrats than republicans to get the numbers they wanted.

Oh, how typical.

We're talking about the poll, no?

There was nothing negative in my post. The subject was changed from what the op posted. I didn't say anyone lied, or is afraid, nasty, petty or anything like that.

How the heck was the subject changed? What I posted is from the exact same link that the OP posted from. The OP didn't include it all and I added it. Sure, it changed the slant to which the OP was wanting.

Now you're being petty.

This is a strategy by the Obama camp to move away from the comparison that we should be focusing on. How about we compare the qualifications for the top of the ticket? McCain vs Obama.

I have no problem with debating McCain v. Obama qualifications.

However, the poll was about what the public thought of Palin's qualifications. If you think the poll is silly or worthless, you're free to ignore it. It is the public that's voting, however.

Except, it was pointed out that it's not a poll of what the public thinks because it is not a correct statistical representation of the "public".

The point is. . .big whoop. Of course more people think Biden is more qualified. He has years of experience on Palin. . .do you see where this is going?

I have a question. How many of you are voting for Mccain, because of the Vp pick? In other words how many of you are voting for Mccain because Palin is a woman? Would still vote for Mccain if he choose say Charlie Crist?

Read again. You're missing something obvious. Here's a hint: ABC and NBC are NOT the same thing.

Woops!

Address this though:

not me. I would vote Mccain no matter who he picked for the VP job. Not too many base their vote on who the Vice P pick is.
