ETA: On the news they said in the Asian markets right now WaMu is trading for $1.69. . .down from a high of about $36 earlier this year. I am sooooo glad I sold off my WaMu last year!

WaMu has been hanging by a thread for the last month.
News reports for weeks was that the FDIC would have been almost wiped out of funds if they could not find a buyer for WaMu. Of course, the FDIC claims they have plenty of money to take care of the failing banks.
