I read that yesterday and it is a very long read. I don't think that this article is entirely fair to McCain in that I don't think that everybody who ever met McCain dislikes him. The article does do a good job of answering a question about why he didn't lose his wings after he downed his first plane.

I did not read the article....yet. Just curious to know if it supports the theory that his Dad and Grandfather were Admirals. I would not be a bit surprised to read and find out that is why he didn't lose his wings, not a bit.

I am going to skim the article now......my curiosity is getting the best of me

Yes that is what it was saying, that it was handed to him and he didnt lose his wings because of his father and grandfather being high ranking officers.
