Did you see Al Smith charity dinner?

Super! Both candidates were really great!
We needed a little humor.

I just saw a few sound bites. It was pretty funny though.

McCain said something like "There are many people here that want to see me win. . . .nice to see you here tonight Hillary."

Rachael Maddow had the whole thing on her show last night. It was great and a great reliever of stress. Nice that they can laugh at themselves.

We watched it pretty late last night, it was so nice to watch. McCain came across much funnier IMO than Obama. He has more to joke about being the underdog though.

They both did a great job and it was nice to see them exchange with each other that way. McCain looks great in a tux...it's too bad he can't wear one all of the time....and it was refreshing to see him act like himself (he's a really funny laid back guy when he isn't being a "politician'). I also thought that Obama (although you could tell he was a little nervous) came off as very classy and I loved the joke about his middle name being "Steve." I also thought his statements about McCain and the country at the end of the humor were very classy.

Both men looked very Presidential --- it's too bad we don't see more of this.

I also saw the entire thing (at least the entire "roast" of both candidates) and they both did a great job--were much more at ease than in debates. And, I too, thought McCain had the more funny jokes.

Thanks for the links. I didn't see, so I really enjoyed watching the video.

It is great that both sides can sit down and poke fun at themselves and their opponent in such a convivial way. I'd like to have seen more of that during the campaign.
