| McCain Loves Western Pennsylvanians
Wow, those people from Western Pennsylvania are just da bomb according to McCain. And the rest of us are just, what, not-so-patriotic and not-so-God-loving? The stink of desperation rising from you is just rank, McCain. Quote:

There's a flaw in your logic . . . She called some people very patriotic and pro-American. If I go to a city and say it is full of very patriotic and pro-american people does that mean I am implying other cities are not? By that logic one could never compliment anyone because when I am complimenting them I am insulting everyone else. When you call someone patriotic you are not inferring that others are not. If I called you strong that means I think everyone who is not you is weak? If I call you stupid, that means I think everyone else is smart? As least McCain didn't call them racists: http://www.tribune-democrat.com/loca...yword=topstory Less than a week after U.S. Rep. John Murtha came under fire for calling Western Pennsylvania a “racist area,” the congressman has used the word “redneck” to describe the area’s past. In an interview with WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Murtha said there is a history of racism in this part of the state. “The whole area, years ago, was really redneck,” he said. The longtime Johnstown Democrat apologized last week after he labeled Western Pennsylvania “racist” as he was discussing the presidential campaign with a Pittsburgh newspaper.

As far as the McCain quote, it's pandering. . .it's done on both sides. No big surprise.

| What are you talking about? So far McCain, Palin and their surrogates have called Southern Virginia the "Real Virginia" and called Northern Virginia "commie country." They have called Elon College "Real Americans" who love their country. They've done it in Pa. While it's certainly necessary to reach out to the base, do they have to trash the rest of the country that are not part of the base? It's very much us vs. them.
