Oops

I shudder to think what some would say if this had been a "mistake" made by Senator Obama's campaign.

Quote:
Oops! McCain asks Russian envoy for money

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – John McCain's presidential election campaign has solicited a financial contribution from an unlikely source -- Russia's U.N. envoy -- but a McCain spokesman said on Monday it was a mistake.

In the letter, McCain urged Russia's U.N. Ambassador, Vitaly Churkin, to contribute anywhere from $35 (20 pounds) to $5,000 (2,912 pounds) to help ensure McCain's victory over Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama, currently ahead in voter preference polls.

"If I have the honour of continuing to serve you, I make you this promise: We will always put America -- her strength, her ideals, her future -- before every other consideration," McCain assured Churkin.

Moscow's mission to the United Nations issued a terse statement on the Republican presidential candidate's letter, saying that the Russian government and its officials "do not finance political activity in foreign countries."

You forgot this part:

A spokesman for McCain, a long-time critic of Russia, had a simple explanation for the fundraising letter's arrival at the Russian mission in New York: "It was an error in the mailing list."

It was a form letter send out to a mailing list.
Anyone could have added the person's name to the mailing list.

From the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United States

Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN press release (October 20, 2008)

Also the pdf of the letter is included on the website above.

Funny how it's a mistake when McCain does it and it's the end of the world if Obama does.

Obama never accidently sent out a wrong letter on a mailing list. He is accused of accepting donations over the internet from foreigners. . .

Really?? What interesting phraseology "accused of ..." Any proof or just an RNC accusation -- based on al-Quaida's endorsement of Senator McCain I can "accuse" him of being a terrorist sympathizer. Bear in mind btw, that Senator McCain has had to return campaign money to foreigners so careful with those "accusations".

It seems the RNC did make a formal complaint to the FEC near Oct. 5

As I said, an RNC accusation. Since I'm one of those "small-dollar contributors" hoping the FEC doesn't confuse Paris, Oregon with Paris, France. Just more crap throwing which will hopefully end up all over Senator McCain's campaign considering, as I said, he already had to return $50,000 to a Jordanian.

You better check your facts. . .McCain was "endorsed" by some poster named Haafid. He is not believed to have a direct affiliation with al-Qaida plans or knowledge of its operations, according to SITE.

Hmmm. . .ever heard of Rafah, Georgia?? Me neither. . .but apparently Monir Adwan lives there and he's given money to Obama to the tune of $24,33 dollars in about a months time according to the FEC.

Ah, "he is not believed to have ...". Taking a page out of the conservative playbook -- too bad, someone said it, it fits my scenerio, so I'll continue to repeat it -- John McCain is endorsed by terrorists.

As for Rafah, Georgia -- see above.
