Lieberman Off Message

Talk about gaffes! Even Lieberman admits Palin's not ready.

Quote:
U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman Friday continued to stand by Republican John McCain's selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a running mate.

But when asked by The Advocate if Palin is ready to be president from day one, Lieberman said "thank God she's not going to have to be president from day one. McCain's going to be alive and well."

I wonder if Joe's going to be disappeared like Carly Fiorina was . . .

I love how they try to put a spin on this story.

From the same link dated Oct. 24
Lieberman: Working hard for McCain; prepared to bring people together if he fails - The Advocate

"Let's hope she never has to be ready because we hope McCain is elected and live out his term," Lieberman said. "But if, God forbid, an accident occurs or something of that kind, she'll be ready. She's had executive experience. She's smart. And she will have had on-the-job training."

Then a link (from same website) dated today. Oct. 25
Lieberman: I'd try to help a victorious Obama - The Advocate

"(McCain) is ready to be our president at this very difficult time, and Senator Obama is not as ready," Lieberman said. "It's as direct as that."

Lieberman said he believes Palin would be ready for the job.

"Let's hope she never has to be ready, because we hope McCain is elected and lives out his term," Lieberman said. "But if, God forbid, an accident occurs or something of that kind, she'll be ready. She's had executive experience. She's smart. And she will have had on-the-job training."

Bottom line: Lieberman said she wasn't ready to be president on day one, which is the primary job of the VP. Even your attempt to "fix" his comment reflects that she'll be needing that "on the job training." Where's that going to come from if McCain drops dead on January 22?

Who's spinning? Lieberman, because he doesn't want to be Fiorina'd.

She's. Not. Ready. It's what the majority of Americans believe and Lieberman, talking around the foot in his mouth, just said so.

BTW, no one is fooled by Lieberman's pretense at reaching across the aisle. Come January 22, he and McCain are going to be sitting by themselves in the cafeteria.
