Joe the Plumber's Tax Lien

Joe the Plumber's tax lien is pocket change compared to ACORN's tax liens.

An intrepid researcher has discovered more than 200 tax liens totaling more than $3.7 million have been filed by the government against the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now for unpaid taxes since the late eighties.

OMG But, of course, you know you can't say these things about ACORN because then you'll be accused of being 'prejudice' and 'biased'.

Do you mean Joe the congressman or Joe the writer or Joe the country singer or maybe just good old Joe the patsy. He most certainly isn't a plumber. He changes professions daily like the old guy changes positions on policies

What does that have to do with ACORN's 200 outstanding tax liens?

Btw. . .the same could be said of ACORN. . .something like 200+ subsidiaries. Just what exactly do they do, besides collect grants and not pay their taxes??

Yes. . .I did not vote for Bush. That doesn't automatically make me an Obama supporter. Contrary to what the propaganda would like you to believe, Obama is not running against Bush. Bush does not equal McCain. Bush and McCain have had a long and rocky relationship. To put it mildly, they don't like each other and have knocked heads over many issues.

I looked at many candidates. . .Paul, Barr, Nader, I would have considered Clinton if she had gotten the nod. I did consider Obama too. I wanted to like him, but at the end of the day, I can't trust him. He has stated his position and then back tracked on too many issues. . . .troops in Iraq. . . .his relationship to Rev Wright. . . .his postition on the 2nd amendment. He continues to lie and be intentionally vague. He lied about ACORN. . .he is intentionally vague about parts of his tax policy and his health care plan. I have to assume that his lack of integrity and transparency would continue into an Obama presidency. He's a likable guy and seems to be level headed and smart. . . but that isn't enough for me if I can't trust you.

You libs just try to spin, spin, spin, don't ya??? Oh, look, Joe was with McCain TODAY!!! LOL!

Joe the Plumber says McCain is 'real American'

From NBC/NJ's Adam Aigner-Treworgy
ELYRIA, Ohio -- After looking for him to no avail at his Ohio bus tour stop this morning, McCain found Joe the Plumber in Sandusky this afternoon and then brought him along to Lorain Community College as well. Although both the candidate and his new traveling companion made mostly the same remarks at each stop, Joe added one key line.

“Get out there and vote; it’s very important,” Joe said, after extolling the virtues of being well informed. “You get out here and get the American people back in charge of our government. Hold politicians' feet to the fire when they mess up. That’s what we’re out here to do. All right? Smaller government, you know? As far as everyone else here, well, that’s the question and go ask them to vote for a real American, John McCain.”

At the first stop, Joe had simply encouraged the crowd to vote without telling them to support McCain. But before a much smaller crowd at the college, Joe was a bit more specific.

During his introduction, McCain also had many a kind word for Joe, who has become something of a mascot for his campaign.

“So my friends, all the efforts we made in trying to make sure Americans understood that Sen. Obama wants to raise your taxes and he wants to increase your spending by $1 trillion, was the man who spoke for small businesses all over America Joe the Plumber,” McCain said.

What spin? Can't you read? Joe didn't show up for the first event, making McCain look like a fool (granted, not hard.)

If anyone's dumb enough to be impressed by Joe the No Show, No Plumber, Tax Deadbeat, I wish them much luck in life.

I agree. 200 tax liens worth $3.7 million stinks to high hell!

Funny, that you're so worry about tax liens on a group that has nothing to do with the election. I guess that's what you guys like to call "a diversion." I call it just silly.

Keating 5, now there's a connection to old John McCain and his gang.

Just curious...do you ever have anything nice to say about 'you liberals'?

And who cares about Joe the Plumber - Joe the non-paying tax plumber who DOES NOT pay his fair share. What a joke. He is suppose to be your hero!! Very laughable.

This whole Joe the Plumber thing is weird to me. John McCain, a very nice and sane gentleman has surrounded himself with Sarah, who is a whackjob and now Joe who is..well I am not sure but I can't imagine why he thinks he can run for Congress... I just don't get it. The Republican Party is so changed from the party of the old. That party was mostly people who were successful and very upright....the party of the grand old Americans who had class and were sort of snobby, if you know what I mean. But in a good way. The Republican Party was the party who were not the hippies or those who wanted an "alternative lifestyle"

John McCain is from that old party. He went to the Naval Academy, for pete's sake...you can't get more conservative than that. More old money and class. They didn't allow real name calling...it was so low class, they were the "respectable" party compared to the hippies of the Democrat party, KWIM?

But the people he is surrounded by..those people who are up on the stage, the people who are touted as "one of us" and made heros....Sarah, Todd and now, Joe are just.....I hate to even say the words.

I know that if my grandfather was to come back from the dead he would not recognize what the Republican party looks like. I believe this is why many of the old Republicans have jumped ship. The Republican party has changed.

Only in America ..it seems like "Joe the Plumber" is making it big time. Book deal?

ABC News: Joe the Plumber Hires Nashville Publicity Team

"A lot of things are too premature to talk about, Della Croce said, but a book is already planned."

"Certainly Joe will go down in history and will be a celebrity regardless of which way the election turns," Della Croce said. "He is a curiosity. He's touched a nerve with the common man, and people are curious as to what's on his mind. I think he speaks for a lot of people."

Good--now he can become a good America citizen and pay his taxes just as the rest of us have to do.

You obviously don't care one ioda about acorns tax liens then do you. You obviously applaud them for doing stealing from the poor who would benefit from that money.

NO I do not care about the tax liens from Acorn or Joe the Plumber. DO NO PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH. You would be better off making the best use of your time researching the real issues of this election unless you haven't noticed the tanking economy, the two wars, etc.

Why? What would make you think that beinig frank about how you feel would affect those things negatively? Unless, of course, you are trying to be malicious.

I brought up Joe the Plumber because there was such outrage over his tax lien. You would think that having one meant you were the devil incarnate. BUT. . .then lookee, lookee. . .ACORN has 200 of them totaling $3.7million.

Btw. . .Joe isn't being supported by tax payer money. If a business is getting most of there funding directly from taxpayers via federal grants then you would think that they should be required to follow federal tax laws.

This issue should definately be brought to the forefront - after the election. It is only my opinion but would hope that the undecided voting public are concentrating on the major issues at hand. After the election the Acorn issue can then be addressed.

Yes. . .but before you can make decisions on what is being said in regards to the issues, you have to be able to judge the truthfulness of who's saying it.

Why not stop with the personal attacks. It is quite childish and accomplishes nothing. Just ignore the posts you feel it necessary to voice your rants.

Joe the Plumber is the William Huang of this election and I suspect we'll care just as much about him in two months. Hope Joe makes all the money he can right now.

Help me figure out why you're trying to compare ACORN to Joe the plumber, singer, author, congressman? One is a nonprofit business entity and one is a self made, well, no, a McCain made, no...well, something. Or did you just want to start another fight and figured this was the best way to do it?
