I was thinking the same thing about the Democrats.
How much more "crap" will they throw about Palin?
How many more "non-issues" concerning Palin will come?

That "crap" about Palin has been the truth. No wonder the Republicans hate hearing it.

Well I guess it remains to be seen - I haven't seen the speeches she gave today or heard about any more prank phone calls....yet anyway.

Well, she did go on a rant about the liberal media covering up that coal tape, even though the tape has been online for nine months. Maybe, like McCain, she doesn't know how to use the internets. She should ask her future SIL.

Hmmm. .. and FDR was president in 1929 and they all had tv's back then.

I still find it quite amusing that the same people (read=feminists) can bash a woman for being everything they claim a woman can be. . .a good mom and have a career. And also bash her for ultimately choosing to be the master over her own body. . .choosing to give birth to a special needs child at 42. Seems like all those things they preach only apply if you make the same conclusions they do. How dare she be succesful and not adhere to the same liberal philosophies they do! How dare she choose to do what she wishes with her own body and not choose to have an abortion! Wow! The nerve of that woman! Why she's not even a woman at all. . .she's a man! After all, a woman's right to self determination only counts if she agrees with us and subscribes to our philosophies. Sheesh!

Choosing to be the master of her own body....that's where your argument falls apart. It works both ways. "The nerve of that woman" is that she doesn't want women to have the "choice" you praise her for making. She wants the gov to mandate what "choice" women should make. It's not "how dare she chooses to do what she wishes with her own body" it's "how dare she support taking away a woman's right to be the master of her own body."

She has never said that she wants to overturn Roe v Wade. She has said that she is personally against abortion. Also nevermind that she does not have the power to "take away a woman's right to choose." So again, they can bash her for exercising what they claim to promote only because she does not support their philosophies.

Wrong. She's said abortion should be a states' decision. That would require overturning Roe v. Wade. I suspose you could make the argument -- a quite feasible one -- that she doesn't understand that. The Constitution is not her strong point.

Gibson: Roe v. Wade, do you think it should be reversed?
Palin: I think it should and I think states should be able to decide that issue.
Gibson: It's a critical issue for so many women.
Palin: It is.
Gibson: You believe women should not have that choice?
Palin: It is a very critical and very sensitive and a personal issue also for so many women and men across this nation. I am pro-life. I do respect other people's opinion on this also and I think that a culture of life is best for America. What I want to do when elected Vice-President with John McCain, hopefully be able to reach out and work with those who are on the other side of this issue because I know we can all agree on the need for and the desire for fewer abortions in America and great support for adoption, for other alternatives that women can and should be empowered to embrace to allow that culture of life. That's my personal opinion on this Charlie.
Gibson: John McCain would allow abortion in the case of rape and incest, you believe in it only in the case of when the life of the mother is in danger.
Palin: That is my personal opinion.
Gibson: Would you change and accept it in rape and incest?
Palin: My personal opinion is that abortion allowed, if the life of the mother is in danger, please understand me on this, I do understand McCain's position on this. I do understand others who are very passionate about this issue who have a differing view. The problem is there are too many abortions and women are hurt and I just believe it is time we evolve the debate even, into more long-term solutions for the issue we're talking about.

She may not have the power, but she has the desire. She stated that RvW should be overturned and it should be in the hands of the states...hence the ability to create law that would take away a woman's right to choose and mandate over her body. According to Palin, her "personal opinion" is that women should only be allowed an abortion when the life of the mother is in danger.

That reads Anti-Choice to me. Why don't you tell me what that looks like to you?

Unhappy

For Sarah Palin to admit that she is pro-life and would not consider a abortion is a a women is horribly and aganist her will. raped and then have to carry this unborn child and knowing how it was conceived is truly cruel for mother and child. Secondly to also be against Abortion in a case of incest is even worse, so you are telling me that if a victim is abused and raped by a family member like her father or brother , she still should carry out the pregnancy, cmom, there is something seriously wrong with this Sarah Palin and her beliefs........So again if sadly one of her dd;s was a victim of of horrible rape, she would want her daughter to keep that unwanted pregnancy I know I would not for my daughter....
