Interesting. But he is not an African American. Please remember he is half black/half white. As one person put it, he isn't either. He is our President. No race about it. Except, of course, the one he won. Last edited by ohhgodd; 11-08-2008 at 05:29 AM. |

When you travel abroad and are asked what you are, you don't say, Oh, I'm Italian-American, or Japanese-American. You're American. I think the word American signifies that you are "mixed", meaning pretty much no one here doesn't have ancestry elsewhere. I know my relatives came here thru Ellis Island. If you're skin color is black, so be it. Your skin color isn't African-American. Is there something wrong with saying a person is black?
