Is Barney Frank in the mix???

Has Obama put Barney Frank in any position??

Here is why I ask.....I read that Barney Frank wants to cut military spending by 25%. In the plans of Obama/Biden, they speak of increasing the size of the military.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden: The Change We Need | Defense

Does anyone have any info. on any of this?

If we can increase the number of active duty military personnel, we have no need for Blackwater, KBR and the other fabulously expensive private contractors. There's your savings right there.

There are probably other cuts they can make. They spent millions trying to develop a "gay" bomb. They may have other stupid projects underway which can be eliminated. Surely it's time to quit handing out bucketloads of cash in Iraq.

I don't see either of their positions as contradicting each other.

While I can agree with you on some of this, I don't see it happening. The military has been using civilians to do their jobs for quite some time. Many bases now have "rent a cops" at their front gates. The housing is now mostly run by private sector because the military could not provide adequate housing in a timely fashion.

So, does anyone know if Barney Frank will be a part of the Obama administration?

While I'm sure than Frank will be consulted, I have heard nothing about his consideration as a member of the administration. I do not think that it's likely.

And let's not forget that wonderful missile system in Poland to deter the now very irritated Russians. Who were not all that irritated until they heard they had to put up a defense to defend against our defense. Oh yes, let's start the cold war all over again. Fun and games. We could save a few pennies there by simply not doing it.
