I never once had any doubt in my mind that PE Barack Obama was a natural born citizen of the United States of America.. To me I totally agree I cannot wait till 1-20-09 have him as our new commander in chief..... peace. Catherine

OK, maybe I'm a "wingnut" - but my thought about all this was, when the lawsuit first came out why didn't PE Obama's attorneys just turn over the actual medical records that were requested? This all could have been nipped-in-the-bud.

The Supreme Court rejected the appeal "Without any comment whatsoever"... Is that just going to add fuel to the fire? Did they think the whole suit was ridiculous/unfounded...in the best interest of the Country? They really should comment why, to stop all this Internet BS.

You know, it's just beating a dead horse now - the Supreme court sent down it's ruling so it's over - now we need to just get over it and move on.

No, they were asking for the actual medical records from the hospital he was born - not the State issued Certificate.

I hadn't heard about that. I don't see any reason on earth why he should -- or could, unless he's his mother's administrator! -- release them. If they don't believe the state-issued certificate (and the newspaper report of his birth), why would they believe medical records? Besides, those aren't really his, they're his mother's. The whole thing is just silly harrassment.

Furthermore, how long is a medical facility required to keep records? I know that when I have to request prior records for one of my work comp claimants--10 years is typical. Sometimes, if a person has treated with the same provider or through the same medical system--you can get further back; But, I don't know if a hospital would keep the records of a birth from 40+ years ago.....

The hospital I was born in isn't even in existence anymore. I have to rely on courthouse documents.
