I've had numerous people email me about items in the past couple of days saying they are interested in an item and asking for a shipping price. I give them the shipping price and I never hear back from them again (and I'm sure others have experienced this as well). I of course have no control over shipping prices, however, is it unreasonable to request for people to just say they are not interested instead of leaving us sellers hanging? That way we can move onto the next person that was interested.

Well I have emailed three people and only one got back to me. Unfortunately I did not realize how high the shipping would be on the items from the lady who did respond and I declined as soon as I read the email.

I always check my spam folder as well just to make sure. I certainly understand if folks traded with someone else but it would be nice to know . . . I do hope the folks I emailed are OK . . .

we has this same problem when we had the garage sale board before. it sucks. but it happens on the coupon swap board all tthe time.

yeah im kinda noticing that. i am a new MC member but i've been couponing a while now.
so when i found the swap i was like " heck yeah" but not alot of people like to respond one way or the other about your emails ??

Thank you for your input. I also agree that there should be some common courtesy used when trading, however, we can't always count on others to live by the golden rule. I have implemented my "own" rule, I have a 1 day rule, if I don't hear back within a day, then I move on.

I am going to now close this thread as it really does not relate to Garage Sales.
