My son has just joined cub scouts for the first time, so I'm looking for a gently used navy blue cub scout shirt in a size 6-8 reasonably priced. The prices at the council are outrageous in my opinion. They want $23 for one! I've never spent that much on a shirt for myself, let alone one for my little boy who will outgrow it in a year.

Hi there! My ds also joined the cub scouts this year and someone told me to go to the boy scout shop and ask if they had any used uniforms in back. Sometimes when scouts outgrow their old uniforms, they donate them back! I was very lucky and they had a shirt and shorts in ds's size and they gave them to me for free!! Also check with some consignment stores, ect.

Check with the Den Leader and the Pack Cubmaster, they may have a lead on some used shirts also. When my son joined, another scout had quit and his parents gave the shirt to the den leader and told her to pass it on. We were the lucky recipients I noticed you are in Wisconsin, you also might want to check www.madisonstuffexchange.com or look on ebay. Sometimes good deals can be found there. Some packs also have exchange programs....something else to think about. Good luck!!
