Exclamation Heads Up ~ check your junk mail!

I just wanted to give a heads-up on some "junk" mail I got today. It's from 'Cards for all Occasions' and it came in a pastel envelope with a big picture of mom & daughter and a stuffed bear on the front. Inside the envelope were 2 free B-day cards (very nice!), plus an offer to get a free welcome gift with no obligation to buy.

The welcome gift contains....

*5 or 10 greeting cards (your surprise stamp reveals how many you'll receive, 10 for me)
*collection box to keep all your cards in excellent condition
*12 divider cards to help organize your greeting cards
*B-day planner & calendar
*3 gel pens (silver, gold, pink)

PLUS, reply within 9 days and get a free Mowbray Bear. (8" stuffed bear, looks cute)
Also, if you're one of the first 111 to reply (doubt I am) you'll get a free digital camera. (Samsung 7.2mp)

Quote: "When you have received your FREE GIFTS, you decide whether or not you want to continue receiving greeting cards from Cards for all Occasions. If you do not wish to continue, just let us know within 10 days and we'll stop future deliveries. The FREE Welcome Gift is yours to keep whatever you decide."

Quote: "There's no need to buy a minimum number of greeting cards and you can stop receiving them at any time without giving a reason. A note on a postcard or a telephone call will do."

Of course, they're hoping you'll love their cards so much that you'll keep receiving them. And, if you do not cancel, they'll send you 6 cards every 4 weeks at the cost of $16.95 + $2.95 S&H. I read the entire mailer and did not see a phone #, but I made copies (front & back) of the 'reply form' and 'reply envelope' before mailing them off. There are 2 different addresses listed, Perryville, MO (inside the mailer) and Norwalk, CT (on the reply envelope). I'll be sending a postcard to each to insure cancellation.

Woo hoo! I got the box in the mail today! Everything is in it as described.... 10 nice greeting cards, 3 gel pens, greeting card storage box w/dividers (labeled B-day, wedding, congrats, etc.), calendar & planner (cheapy) and the teddy bear (nice!). I already knew I was going to get the digital camera, so I wasn't expecting it. Not trying to rub it in.... But, all-in-all, pretty nice freebie! Their 800# is on the thank you letter included in the shipment. Guess I'll be giving them a call Monday. The cards are really nice, but they're certainly not in my budget right now. Did anyone else happen to get this "junk mail" offer in their mail box? I wish it were an online offer so everyone else would have a chance too. Just a reminder to check that junk mail before you throw it out.
