This is a newspaper my daughter's science teacher used during the past school year. She enjoyed the stories, as well as crossword puzzles and games, and brought home extra copies to have during summer break. I logged on to their sight, and discovered many other subjects, and some really cool state history lessons, as well. We give the kids lessons to work on, during the summer, to keep their little brains chugging along, and this is a great aide to plug into summer learning.
Simply go to
Studies Weekly then click on your state. You'll be taken to a page of all publication options. Choose one that looks interesting, click on the link, and see if it offers a free sample. It will show you whether or not a sample is available, by displaying "order now", "request a sample," and "share with a friend." Click "request a sample," then fill in the address info. I simply put our last name as the "school" name, as I've done when ordering other homeschooling samples, and it worked fine.
Happy learning!
