| What to do with 8 pints of salsa that's to hot?
I have 8 jars of home made salsa that's way to hot. Is there anything I can do with it? Can I mix it with something to tone it down a bit, or make something out of it? It's not just a little hot, it's "you're mouth is on fire after 2 bites" kind of hot. TIA |

I would make your salsa recipe again only omit the peppers and then mix both batches together. You would have twice as much and hopefully 1/2 the heat.

Pour some of the salsa in a bowl and stir in a little fresh chopped tomatoes, minced green bell pepper/sweet onion. Be sure to taste after each addition to see if it has dulled the heat and not made the salsa too watery or taste like tomato soup. If that doesn’t work, you could make a creamy “dip” with it by adding sour cream (dairy products will cut the heat).

I agree with everyone else. Mix it with something that isn't hot. Cream cheese would work as well as Velveeta or sour cream. You could mix it with sour cream and use it as a sauce for chicken enchilladas.
