Pontiac Vibe- we average about 32
Love, love , love this car- best "getting around" car we have ever owned. We just sold our old one and bought another.
Reasonably priced, nice and sporty looking and great gas mileage (to avoid sounding like a commercial, I'll stop now :-)

A friend said he just bought a honda civic (I think thats what he said), for the gas milage and loves it. I had clipped an ad for the hyundai accent for its alleged good gas milage. I have a saturn now, an Ion and get good milage but think I can do better.

Honda Civic, 75% of the time the a/c is on, it's hot here!

30 mpg mixed around town and highway.
