Anyone have any experience with these? Are they worth that much money? Do you know the best place to get them?

Thanks,

They are good...my little one is almost 2 and still watches them.

Your best bet is to buy them used. Try ebay or craigslist or something similar.

My kids never liked them. My oldest was 2 1/2 before he watched any TV -- maybe he was too old for them by then -- and they never held the interest of my younger one. See if you can get them use -- try childrens consignments sales or stores.

Personally, I don't think kids under 2 need to be watching TV, but I understand that sometimes it's a necessary evil, especially with older siblings in the house.

Whatever you do, don't buy the Baby Einstein Complete Collection on Amazon. It's pirated and the cds don't wind up working the way that they should.

(yes after buying a few at retail, i ended up buying the complete collection off ebay made in china.. some boxes have chinese words on them, but the CDs play TOTALLY like the american version, no weird chinese stuff on yoru tv)

Both our boys LOVED baby mozart. They got a kick out of the lizard that said "blah" and stuck his tounge out!

I agree with PP check them out at your local library or netflix to see which one your child likes the best. Honestly, we have about 5 of them and they love baby mozart the best.

BTW one is 11 mos and the other is 3 years.

My cousin said her kids got a kick out of the body parts one. Even the seven year old! So, there you go. My kids haven't seen the body parts dvd though.
