Do you have a Lowes near you? I prefer the look of valances vs drapes, so that's what I bought, but it seemed their prices were great and good selection, too. I did three rooms over with their valances this past year.

JCPenney has a sale starting tomarrow, got the flyer today. In store it is another of those $10 off a $50.00 purchase or more and $15 off a $75.00 purchase. I am also looking for a thermal back/light filtering drapes, when i was in JCP yesterday, I check out their drpaes. They had several to choose from, Linden street had a thermal back and suede thermal back, the other one the girl showed me was Robert Eclipse Blackout panels. I can not remember the prices. I got an email for free shipping thorugh Sept 5 and includes the outlet as well.

We just moved into our house and I need curtains everywhere! I was just in Wal-mart and they have the eclipse black-out curtains. Sorry I don't remember the price. I noticed them because some were in the suade. Very pretty. |

The easiest thing in the world to sew. Do you have a Joann's? I just took a curtain making class for $60. I made 4 drapery panels for my family room. All you really need to do is sew 4 straight seams. (There is really more ironing than sewing.) I have very high windows and used expensive fabric, so I still spent $300. But you can do it much, much cheaper and get exactly what you want. Good luck! |

i found some really nice silk looking ones for the living room at Target for 19.99/ea. they are lined 84" long. i also got some super cute black with embroidery on clearance for 17.xx/ panel. they are also 84" long. I ended up spending 190.xx for one waverly rod (on clearance for less than $25.00) 2 panels for the living room, 4 panels for the bedroom and sheers, and hooks for all of them. I love the look on hooks! I have large windows in my house, but I won't be needing the other 2 black panels, the window looks nice with only one on each side with sheers in the middle ![]() HTH
