I recently joined BJs because of a good deal that they had on a screenhouse on the internet. We went to the store and I wasn't really impressed with the prices.

What is it that you buy at BJs that is a good deal?

Cereal, toilet tissue, tissues, Michelin tires, fruit, DVD's, printer ink, cat food.

BJ's takes coupons too.

I agree that some things don't seem like a good deal and it is often hard to compare prices with the supermarket sales because they have odd size packages at BJ's (I often know how much I will pay for a box/bag of something in the supermarket, but the size of the box is different at BJ's).

I usually find that individually packaged items are cheaper at BJ's (stuff for the kids lunchboxes) and juice boxes.

Cat litter (house brand), Cat food (purina). Recently we got a 5 pack of Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables for $8.99 - (the one with the snow peas, water chestnuts, broccoli etc). At our local stores if we're lucky they go on sale for 2 for $5 - plus maybe you get a coupon sometimes - but rarely the same time as the sales. They had good prices on red and yellow bell peppers on my last visit, decent prices on meat, their bulk packs of lunch meat are good prices. We also buy oodles of the Jiff peanut butter - 2 large jars for less then you'd pay for 1 in the grocery store.

Don't forget gasoline. Sometimes 15 cents below other sellers.
