With Thanksgiving coming up..a word of thanks to you guys

I was just talking to my husband the other day about how I started on here when I first got pregnant with our now 9 year old daughter to find baby deals- now I also have a six year old and still come back to look for favorite recipes- thank you for all of the years of great food advice and friendship- we might not know each other- but there is a familiar warmth to seeing the same usernames regularly and hearing tradition stories passed through with the recipes every holiday.

That's funny, Caroline. I started here in 1999 after my son was born - looking for good baby/toddler deals, too! Those were the days! My UPS guy hated me because I was always getting stuff delivered. The deals were posted on LWIF faster than I could keep up with them. Now, I hang out on the LGC board and love it, although it has changed a lot, too. So many of the people who used to post are gone. We do have a nice core group, though. I'm very appreciative of the responses, the input, the ideas, etc. that I've gotten from this group and it is nice to feel like you have some friendship on a board of virtual strangers. I certainly do.

Nice thread. Happy holiday season.

Kim,

I'm still here... a golden oldie. Remember the days? Pets.com $25 off $25... More deals than anyone could keep up with! Lots and lots of freebies! Remember Cat and all of her great recipes? My little guys are now 22 and 25 years old. Gone are the days of searching for great deals on toys, It happened SO quickly! Today's Halloween and I really miss having little goblins of my own.
