Thursday's dinner

I am on the ball today!

I had a counter full of tomatoes I had picked a couple weeks ago when they were green because we were supposed to get a freeze. They have mostly all turned red now and I'm tired of them taking up space on my counter, so I googled spaghetti sauce with fresh tomatoes, found what appears to be a good recipe and they are all peeled, blended and boiling in my dutch oven.

After they've boiled down for a couple hours, I will make the sauce & meatballs and we're having spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread & salad. I am making a double batch of meatballs and freezing some.

What are you all having.

Lisa

Yum! Both of your dinners sound good!

Our anniversary was on Tuesday, but DH didn't make it home until 9:30 (flight canceled from Memphis, so he had to get a later flight). I think we will go out to dinner tonight to celebrate.

Happy Anniversary, Kim!

I'm going to make a cheese, potato, and smoked sausage casserole. I think we'll have some frozen green beans with it. I made chocolate cupcakes last night, so we can have those for dessert.

My husband grilled up some chicken breasts last night. We'll have them with rice and broccoli. Then I will try my best not to dive into the candy we bought for trick-or-treaters.

I'm struggling with staying out of the candy, too!

Thank you!!!! We did go out and have a nice time. I had a $25 gc from a local Italian restaurant that I got from our school's silent auction, so we used that and ordered a really nice bottle of wine.
