Finally Friday!!

Good morning!

What's on the menu for this evening? Dining in or out?

We'll be eating in and using yesterdays menu. My FIL was admitted back to the hospital yesterday, and instead, we ate out on our way home. I had a fantastic salad! Besides the lettuce, it had sundried tomato's, feta, kalamata olive and fried onions. They served it with the most delicious garlic vinagrette and a itty-bitty dinner roll!

breggae, I hope your FIL is ok That salad you had sounds really good

Today is my birthday, and while I would love to go out to dinner, I will be cooking. We are going to have strip steaks with sauted onions, loaded baked potatoes and salad. I am going to a local market later and they have some really good bakery stands, so while I am there I will pick up something for dessert, I am thinking of a red velvet whoopie pie since I have always wanted to try that.
Have a great day everyone

Breggae--sorry to hear about your FIL. Hope he is able to come home soon!

Ishop2much--Happy Birthday! And enjoy that whoopie pie if you get it!

I have BBQ country style pork ribs in the crockpot. Will serve them with buttered noodles and glazed carrots.

Breggae - hope your FIL is ok!

Happy Birthday, Maryann!

We had Chicken Fajita Salad with Poblano Buttermilk Dressing. It is so good! I love this salad! I think I need to re-subscribe to Rachael Rays magazine. I really use more of her recipes than I thought! (the healthy ones anyway!)

Thank you all. Unfortunately, we are on week 12 with my FIL being in the hospital. He has chronic pancreatitis and originally had a leak in his pancreas. That leakage actually formed pockets that put holes into his intestines. They had to take off 90% of his pancreas due to the nucrosis (sp?!), took his gall bladder and put 3 stents by-pass to his stomach. He has an extremely long road ahead of him yet.

Nicole- we ate at Joey's Italian Restaurant, which is a family owned restaurant in town.
