The political system is broke and it's a joke.

We didn't have a Thanksgiving dinner, so there are no leftovers here. We ended up having grilled cheese, and chips. I also learned this holiday not to trust relatives who say they will help you in a time of need. We had asked my boyfriends brother to deposit two checks for us into our bank, since he works right by a branch and the nearest one to us is 45 min away and I have no car or way to get there. He said ok, we asked him about 5 times if he was sure because I didn't want to spend the money to overnight him the checks if he couldn't do it. Well 2 weeks ago I overnighted the checks and as of today, he still has not deposited them for us, but I can write a book on the excuses he gave us. Then there was my brother who said that he and his family were going out to eat and for me not to defrost anything cause they were going to pick us up and take us with them and once our situation got better, we could pay him back. Well he never came or called and after I called him to see what was going on all I was getting was voice mail.
Sorry to ramble on there, anyway back to today's dinner, we are going to have Johnsonville chicken and apple sausages with peppers and onions over rice

Geesh Maryann--what a rotten thing for him to do! I would keep calling and letting messages until he did deposit my checks. I hope he isn't able to cash them!

I'm sorry Maryann. I hope he didn't endorse them to himself. And your brother was rude to not even call.

Wow! That was rude. I don't get people and their decisions sometimes.

We didn't get to host Thanksgiving this year either, so no leftovers. It was just DH & I, so we had shrimp stir fry over brown rice. Actually, we had a couple leftovers - what I took and brought back home - one being a relish tray, hence the stir fry!
