Tis' Tuesday!!

GOOD MORNING!

Hope you all are staying dry! My, it's saturated here and its still coming down. I'd almost prefer it to freeze, than this muddy mess!

Tonight I'll be making Roasted Pork Loin Recipe - Allrecipes.com and Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes Recipe - Allrecipes.com with leftover mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving. I'll be adding a veggie, but I need to see whats still left out in the freezer!!

Hope you all have a great day!!

It's pouring here too and windy. I have enough papa johns points for 3 free pizzas, and I was thinking of using my points to get dinner tonight, but it's so yucky out I'd feel bad making someone deliver a pizza to me. So since I didn't defrost anything I think I will take it easy and make breakfast for dinner

It is dreary and raining here too. Since we have an appointment at 4:00 to take the cats to the vets for their yearly checkup, it will be something quick and easy when we get home. I have some of the little smokies from Hillshire Farm in the fridge and am going to do something with them! I think I will toss this in the crockpot now.

SMOKED SAUSAGE from cooks.com
1 pkg. smoked sausage
1 (6 oz.) jar mustard
1 (10 oz.) jar apple jelly
1 can chunky pineapple

Fry smoked sausage, drain, cut in pieces. Drain pineapple. Mix pineapple, mustard, apple jelly together in crock pot. Add sausage. Let cook in crock pot until it is mixed well.

I think I will serve it on rice with snow peas.

We are having grilled salmon, steamed asparagus & steamed basmati rice.

We've been working really hard the last few months on healthy lifestyle changes that will stick. Both my parents are/were heart patients and I had some non-favorable results on 3 genetic tests, so even though I have never had high blood pressure or a heart attack, my dr. referred me to a cardiologist a year ago and they are treating me like a heart attack patient. In the last year, I've lost 10 pounds (have another 5-10 to go), reduced my triglycerides by 68 points and my bad cholesterol is now 69. I just have to raise my good cholsterol 6 more points and I will have every number where they want it!
