Did everyone go out to eat tonight?

It has been snowing all day here and it is COLD! I finally took care of the ham I cooked earlier this week. I cubed about 6 cups of it for a ham and potato casserole and put that into the freezer. Then I made ham salad with the little bit that was left and put the bone into the freezer for split pea soup next week. I would have liked to make the soup today, but I didn't have the peas that I thought I had and I had no desire to go out to the grocery store for them. So instead, we are having tomato soup that I made and canned last summer with ham salad sandwiches on homemade rye bread and potato chips. There are plenty of pumpkin squares for dessert.

Is anybody else cooking tonight????

Well, I had intentions of cooking tonight!!! I had a "new" customer call to ask if I'd be interested in looking at her new home plans and wanted to "meet in 15 minutes"! So, I headed out immediately and ended up being with her for almost 3 1/2 hours!! As I went to pull into the garage afterwards, DH was waiting in his truck to head to dinner!! We headed to Cabanas Island restaurant where I had WONDERFUL fish tacos....I could easily see these becoming a "necessity"!!!

I have GOT to try fish tacos! I bet I would like them, I've just never seen them anywhere in this small town. (Yeah, I know I could make them. But I'd like to see if I would like them first!)

I love fish tacos - but only if they are grilled. I don't like them with breading and deep fried. Linda, if you decide to make them, I have a couple really good recipes.

We had spaghetti & meatballs and garlic bread. I don't watch Mob Wives, but one of them was on GMA a while back and shared a meatball and sauce recipe. It is so good!

I'll second Lisa on saying the fish must be grilled! These just had lettuce, pico and a really nice sauce on them! I've already asked my GF to lunch on Wednesday to have them, again!!!!
