Help have 3 boxes of bittersweet chocolate. What can I do with these for holidays??

Hi
I've tried to find recipes for bittersweet chocolate but no luck. (except for truffles recipe on box). what can i make with this? Any ideas? Can I just add sugar to make it more like regular baking chocolate? Please what is the amount of sugar to chocolate if this is doable? Thanks so much,

I don't know if this will work the same as it does with chocolate chips but there is a fudge recipe you could try.

1pk chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Nuts as many as you want.

Melt all together in microwave and pour into pan. Leave in fridge for 10 minutes and it should set.

My friend gave me the recipe. My other friend tried it and it worked. I don't know how well it would work with what you have but you could play around with it I guess.

Just add more sugar -- (keep tasting till you get it the way you want it). You could make a chocolate pie (use the pudding mix where you cook it and I always add two blocks of semi-sweeet chocolate to it and a half cup of sugar). So I guess you could add maybe a cup of sugar.

Just dont' throw it away!! I'm sure there's plenty of ways to use it! Google it and see what turns up.

You could always do chocolate dipped pretzel rods or chocolate dipped candy canes. I helped my dd make the pretzel ones for Thanksgiving. Just melt it in the microwave in a cup and then dip half the pretzel rod in the chocolate. Then you can sprinkle them with something like crushed peanuts, crushed candy canes, sprinkles, etc. Put them on some wax paper and in the fridge for 15 minutes or until set. They were a hit. You can do the same with candy canes and they make great stirrers for coffee or hot chocolate. Oh, you could also do chocolate dipped Oroes.

Here are some other recipes using bittersweet chocolate:

It's funny how I stumble on stuff while reading a magazine.. and then i need to stop and remember.. Now where was it that someone wanted bittersweet chocolate recipes?
Oh yeah.. it was here!

Redbook December issue had two recipes using bittersweet chocolate.
One was an ad for Ready Crust.. Chocolate Caramel Pie (uses 4 oz)
http://www.readycrust.com/cgi-bin/br...kin=readycrust

The other is in an article titled Festive Holiday Sweets for Chocolate Bread Pudding Cake with Eggnog Sauce (uses 12 oz)

http://redbook.ivillage.com/home/rec...8zbtz9,00.html

The bread pudding looks very yummy!

Brigadeiro(chocolate fudge candy)

1 can 14ox of sweetened condensed milk
l tablespoon butter
3 tablespoon cocoa powder, but I just 12 oz bag of chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla

Heat over low heat, stir until thickens. Let cool to room temperature. Take small amount and roll into balls over chocolate sprinkles. Helps to grease your hands to make the balls. Put balls in small paper cupcake holders.
