Does anyone have a receipe for dog food(spin off)

Ok...all this dog food recall is getting to me and I would have a fit if anything happens to my baby "Chico". So does anyone have a recipe for homemade dog food that they would share?

Thank you,
Christine

Our little pug gets an upset tummy A LOT....normally that the only time I cook for her... What I make is

Brown or white rice, boiled chicken breast or if I have a can of chicken breast I'll dump the whole can with juice and all....when she's sick she only gets the chicken and rice... but I imagine you could add some frozen, canned or fresh veggies such as carrots, peas, corn......maybe a scrambled egg?? Thats what I was thinking.... My dog eats so little I could cook for a couple days at a time, it would be no big deal...

I'm feeding my dog Chicken & Rice for now..I plan on talking to my vet and see if she will be missing any important vitamins & minerals by doing this..I kinda doubt it since most vets recommend this for dogs who have senstive stomachs

Here is a great website for pet food & treats.. Dog recipes and treats, cook for your dog!

I cook for my 90 pound American Pit Bull Terrior and it's the only way I can keep her weight from getting out of control. I keep some dry chow for backup but she mostly gets dog casseroles made from:

brown rice
cooked pinto beans
Shady Brook ground turkey

End up making this twice a week in a huge vat seems like and she thrives on it.

Used 45 coupons on 10 for $10 rolls of turkey this week at Kroger so now I have her protein covered for awhile. 45 cents a pound for ground turkey, what a relief to have that stockpiled. Have "broke" spells around here where I add an egg or chicken broth to dry chow or rice or leftover bread and hope for the best but I saw on TV that dogs really do need lots of protein. I used to understand that dogs could eat whatever suited people - even vegetarian, although I never felt that was true for her.

If I didn't cook for her, I'd have to buy that diet food that makes her ravenous - also a thief! There are a couple books available at the library about cooking for pets.
