WalMart has cheap stuff already - $.25 boxes of Crayola Crayons, cheap glue sticks, etc. in big bins at the front of the store.

Staples has some cheap stuff a few weeks ago, but nothing the past two weeks.

Watch the ads closely. Each store does their own type of offer at different times - the game to get you in the store to buy other stuff too.

This week, CVS has 4 or 5 free after eb offers, limit 2 or 3, depending. Remember to ask for a raincheck, their stock/space is smaller. I wish they'd realize when they offer something for free, that people are going to be very interested !
