i absolutely NEED a new washer and dryer. i thought i wanted the new front loaders, but i have heard a lot about mold problems with these. is this just overblown or is it true? how bout your opinions on which ones i should buy...i know i can count on my mycoupons friends to have done their homework

please help - i am so overwhelmed with all the info - i don't know what to do!

Hi,
I have a front load 3.5 kenmore. It's not fancy but I love it.
On the Black Friday deal board there is supposed to be a wash/dry combo for $579 at Sears. It looks like the same washer I have. I paid that amount 5 yrs ago for just the washer
I don't have anymore of a mold problem than with my old top load. I run a load of whites with bleach about every 3 months for the problem.

Go with the basic! FYI, my Kenmore Oasis top load (no agitator) machine is on its second breakdown in three years. Cost $300 to fix last summer. I would love to go back to the agitator, basic knobs and buttons, regular laundry soap.

I have had my Kenmore front load washer and dryer for 4 years. I absolutely love them both. They are quiet, they do a fantastic job of getting my clothes clean and use so much less detergent and water. I will never go back to a top loader... also I love the Kenmore brands... they always seem to be at the top of the Consumer Reports.
