How do I send an email to corporate Target?

I have to get it off my chest, and that means I want to write an email to someone who can do something (i.e., want to know policy on employees shopping during business hours while working and after hours when store is closed). I am fortunate that my store doesn't allow this, but the store at Baybrook Mall ... it amazes me there's anything left with the way the employees do this.

How/where can I contact them please .... and thanks.

Thats funny you should ask that. Yesterday while shopping at
target I saw a cart of some things that looked like it was stuff
that no one wanted and was to be restocked. So I saw a cristmas candle in there so I picked it up and asked if they had any more (lady standing there was stocking shelves in the towel department.) She was nasty to me with the tone of her voice..."
Thats mine, thats my cart!!!!!" If there are any left they will be over with the christmas stuff" Mind ya there were only bows left at the christmas stuff. Then she and another employee took that cart and another filled with kids beds sets which there just put out to the back.
Iwas upset. Not that I didn't get any candles....Just the fact that they were to be working and were shopping and rude to me.
I am going to go check the web site and see if there is any where to write.

Good luck. Last year I emailed corporate about the mess they had at the Beechmont, Oh store with employees. All they did was send me an email saying sorry and I really doubt the employees were even talked to about it, because they still shop while working.
Last year.. they did not have the silverware or dishes marked.. When I came in I loaded up 8pkgs of silverware and 4 dishes.. When and employee seen me.. She said "those are not on sale".. Well my dd who was 13.. said "yes they are". Well when she scanned them .. I KID YOU NOT.. a SWARM of employees were clearing out every single set of dishes and silverware.. They had carts full handing them down from top shelves. A customer could not even get in to get one if they wanted one at that point. And of course all these people were definatly not on their breaks.
I sent corporate and email and told them to check thier cameras at this store at this time. It was a really sad sight.
And this same store last year during toy markdowns.. The markdown team had thier own carts that they loaded up with things as they were marking them down. I tried to get something out of the cart..(that she had 10 of in there.. and there were no more around) And she told me that was "her" cart. I watched her and as she scanned stuff with her gun and she seen the prices if she wanted them they went into her cart.. if not they went back to the shelve.

I Have to add my two cents here.. i'm not flaming anyone, just adding my opinion..

first, how do you know these people were working? maybe they were off shift or on break, or on lunch break. all the stores I know allow their workers to shop during those times... just dont assume anything just because they were wearing the red shirt that they do not have a right to the same stuff you're getting. second, what is wrong with these people shopping period? they have just as much right as you do in having a cart load of stuff.. it's a perk of working there to know what's on sale, and where to find it with out having to search as much as you do.. if you want to get the stuff as fast as they do, then work at target... three.. i would've yelled at you too if you were snooping in my cart LOL.. you just dont reach into someone's cart and take something. fourth, as for the dishes/silverware in the last post, maybe they weren't supposed to be marked as the price they had them at.. so they took them down and had them priced as what they're supposed to be before they all got sold at that price.

In other words, dont assume anything..

with all the complaints yall make about this subject, makes me wonder why customer service is so bad LOL

sorry, had to get that off my chest.. and just because i had a diffrence of opinion doesnt mean I'm flaming anyone .

Frist of all I asked the lady if she was working and she said YES! Second they where throwing things in the cart that they got out of another cart. so Maybe I was wrong in thinking it was to be restocked. but you don't have to be mean about it and yell "thats my cart" She was down right rude. IMO.... I wasn't taking the candle just asking if they had any more. I have had people look in my cart and ask where I got it and I don't have a problem telling them where it can be found. As for customer service...I have never had a problem with them. I agree that employees do get the perks for working there...but can they shop when they are working?

I had this same thing happen to me last year, with a employee in the electronis area. I knew the policy, so I went to the manager and told him that I had just witnessed this and that the employeee had put it in a cart be hind the counter. The thing about it was that I was looking for the exact thing he picked up when he snatched it right in front of me. The manager walked up and asked the employee what he was doing with the stuff in the cart behind the counter, and he told him someone had just called and asked him to see if there was any left and hold it for them. Yeah Right , this item was'nt even a electronic item ,so what were they calling him in electronics! The manager said no that is not how we do things and then gave the item to me.I thanked the manager and then the manager made the employee apologize for taking it out from under me , and then took him back to the back room. I have never seen this employee again in the store. I do think they have very strict rules on this and it is a matter of them getting caught. I did not want this employee to get fired , if that is what happened, but I am a shopper too, only I am not shopping while I am getting paid to do something else. Also I have used the web site to complain about other things that I witness happening, and have had good replies,if you want them to contact you concerning this include you telephone number and tell them so.

my goodness

Ok top this one, during our 50% off Christmas clearance at Target, first off their was a line to get in the door that morning. Once we got back to the christmas clearance it was all customers for about 2 minutes, then the steady stream of employees. The best was one employee that decided to yell to all the folks that were back there shopping, that all she wanted was the "caller-id globe" and she wasn't leaving until she got one. She ranted and raved about how she couldn't believe we bought them all. Well I kindly pointed out to here about 15 or more on the shelf so she grabbed hers and walked off. To my surprise when I checked out at the front of the store, the am manager was encouraging this behavior.... SCARY! She was also talking about people and how crazy we were just for some left over junk on sale. She wasn't even trying to be quiet about it, it was actually really sad.

I don't think employees should be able to shop while they are working or before opening with sales like these. Employees privilages are discounts they get while working there, knowing whats comming on sale when and having a friend come in to shop for them. I think that when they are rude it sends a bad message about the store to customers, which if you didn't have customers you wouldn't have employees. Customer service is very sadly not what it should be or what it used to be and I am not that old. I also believe customers should give some respect to the store employees when they deserve it, I have seen some very nice employees get harrassed by a customer over nothing. So it goes both ways. Just My Two Cents Worth!

Just yesterday at our local Target, there was an employee who was on duty and had a shopping cart which wasn't too full, but it appeared that they were go-back items (especially since she had cleaning items- i.e. paper towels and ammonia- in the seat part of her cart). I saw a musical Christmas book in there and asked if she was putting those items back and she said (quite rudely, I might add), "No! These are MINE- I'm cleaning"...as if one had to do with the other, but anyhow, I thought to myself that she shouldn't have been snippy with me and also thought that the employees weren't supposed to be shopping while on the clock. I should also add that when I saw her, she was standing by a pallet of items from the back room they'd just brought out, so I logically assumed she was over there to help put some of those items back out on the floor- but nope- she was shopping while on duty.

Oh well! I don't mean to complain, because I am still pleased will all of the awesome deals I got, but you would have thought I asked her if I could borrow a million dollars with the snotty attitude she had.

Re: How do I send an email to corporate Target?

Shopping the clearance is one of the few (only?) perks of working in retail.

While I agree that the employees should be orderly in how they shop and certainly never rude, I don't have any problem with them getting stuff for themselves. Unless the employees shopping impacts your shopping experience ( there are no cashiers left to ring you up or no assistance on the sales floor) give them a break.

I worked in retail for 10 years and most employees buy reasonable amounts of product and shop on breaks and lunches except under exceptional situations. Just like customers, there are a few that abuse the system and hoard merchandise. Don't treat all of them badly because a few are irresponsible.

If they're not working, it's fine with me if they shop, but I personally don't think their LRTs should be allowed to be used for their own gain on break. Misuse of company property if you ask me. Plus those things sure make it LOOK like they're working. How fair is that? If they work there they should have a fair idea of what's on sale without needing their LRTs.

Well, last year at the 75% off toy sale, the employees who were marking down the toys took a couple from me saying they weren't on the sale, repriced them and put them in a separate cart then whispered about putting them in the back. The other 3 Targets I went to all had the same toys for 75% off.

I also don't think the employees should get in trouble, I think we need to push for MANAGEMENT to get in trouble if it is found his/her employees are shopping on the clock. I believe if enough of us write, something is going to get done. I also talk to the managers of the stores I shop. Some of the managers from the store where employees shop on the clock are at my new SuperT where they are fired for doing it. They both said that store is nortorious for it and they were ashamed to work there (thus the reason they asked to transfer to the new store).

All people should get equal chance to shop and if you are working, have your mother or neightbor or someone come in and buy them for you. I'm probably dating myself, but when I was a cashier, it was ALL about the customer ... period. I believe it might teach some of these people some respect if they actually had to follow rules. IMO
