well..I live in Va Bch, and of course during the summer

it is atourist town..they sell tons of really nice quality shovels for the beach for a steal. I can't quote an exact price..but I do know they are really inexpensive. so, I would say, if you need them for a beach trip..wait until you get there and buy them up at souvenior shops.

Thanks!!

I am making about 50 Valentine's Day gifts for my 2 DD's classes. I found a cute idea where you tie a little bag of candy to the shovel & then write something like "I Dig You - Happy Valentine's Day!" on them.

I am going to check the B&M's out tonite!!

Kim

PS - with all this snow & cold weather, we could use a beach trip about now!!

Was just at Target on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown--they have LOTS of summer toys out, along with summer furniture, etc! Too funny to think that 6 months from now, we'll all be complaining how HOT it is!

Good luck!

Go to iparty.com. The shovels are .40 each. The site was actually mentioned in the article in Family Fun. I thought it was such a cute idea also and really wanted to do it. I didn't even mind paying .40 per shovel, but with shipping it drove the price up too high for me. I haven't found any in any B&M stores.

Qponz, YES!! That is where I also got the idea!! DUH on my part!! Guess I should read the article!!

I didn't get a chance to check out any B&M's yet but seems that Iparty.com has the cheapest price. Guess I could do something else this year and get them at Target on clearance at the end of the summer

Thanks to everyone for all of your help!!

Kim
