Has anyone looked at the new Wal-Mart ad for May 30 through June 5th? There's a 3 dome tent on the front. The brand is Ozark Trail. Are you familiar with this brand? What are your thoughts on this tent? We don't do a lot of camping. My kids would use this for birthday parties, etc more than anything. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on the quality. The price is $88.72. Thanks! |

Unless they've changed the way they make the tents connect you'll better off just buying a big tent. We bought one and it sucked. The tents themselves were great, used them camping many times(atleast a dozen) and they've held up well. But they don't seal tight together, bugs get in. The tunnels zipped (sides and top) to the tents, but the bottoms didn't have any connection, just a flap on the tunnel that went under the tent. We had to keep the doors zipped on the tents which defeated the purpose of even having the tunnel thingy. We tried using self stick velcro all the way across the bottom but it wouldn't stick, couldn't sew it on, it wouldn't be water proof. I've talked to a couple other people that don't have the same tent we have but have the tunnels to connect them and they have the same problem. Now we just use the big tent for camping and the small tent for the kids to play in, either outside or in the dinning room so the kids can go camping indoors. Hey, it keeps them busy most of the day. I also suggest getting tent steaks, the ones they come with are useless, they'll break the first time you use them. The plastic hooks will break off and the metal part will bend. The thick heavy plastic ones wook good, we use a rubber mallet to pound them in. |

We actually just bought this tent the other day. The only one "set up", was a itty bitty model of one. It says "one time offer" on it so if you get it and don't like it, you can take it back but if you don't get one and then kick yourself for not at least trying it out, you won't get another opportunity. |
