I want to e mail a text message to my brother, who has sprint as his cell service. I have at&t, so I dont know how sprint works. I know I can e mail to other at&t from my e mail address on the computer, but I dont know what sprints e mail address is. What comes after the @? Do you know what I mean? Example. With at&t, you just put the persons phone number@mobile.att.net. So, how does sprint work?

Yikes - that's long. I went the www.sprintpcs.com then to services and features, then on the right side of the page, there is a thing that says "send a text message"...

I found that one, but its not really what I am looking for. To send an e mail to my at&t phone, you can send it to..... xxxxxxxxxxx@mobile.att.net, you can send it to other carriers like that. I dont want to have to go to the sprint website every time, so I want to know what sprint e mail is. I assume its xxxxxxxxxxx@mobile.sprint.net, or something similar to that. Someone out there must have sprint, that can help me out. I want to put it in my e mail address book, so I can send my brother text msgs. Anyone know?

I have sprint - but not sure how to do the text messaging any other way... I just got a new phone today and got one for my daughter too - let me look around and see if there is anything else I can find...

You probably have to know his "vision" user name in order to send a text message on sprint...

How did you figure that out? Is there a charge to receive a text message for sprint? I dont want to send him alot of messages if he gets charged for them. I know with at&t, I dont get charged for incoming msgs, but pay 10 cents each for the ones I send. But cingular pays 10 cents for incoming and outgoing. Do you know.?

I think if you have the pcs vision enabled then there isn't a charge for texting - I got it free for 2 months with this new phone. I'm looking through my 154 page "book" online now to see any features that I'm not using. I'm not much help - sorry! I never text (obviously) and my teenager is under the impression that she can't get the text messaging stuff (I'm mean, I know). I'm still researching though!

Well, that helps to know. I will have to check with my brother to see if he has a special e mail set up to go to his phone. In the mean time, I will just go to their site, and send him messages. I dont think he uses text messages anyway, so he may not know. I e mail my son all of the time, but he has at&t too, like I have. Its much easier.
