I just googled your question and found this

[i]Though there seems to be alot of animosity towards Amazon.com I am not a member of that group. I am a big fan of Amazon and there price matching policy. Something to consider: I purchased The Lord of The Rings Trilogy - Extended DVD edition as a pre-order in 2004!! I paid $79.98 for this item. I was recently surfing around and noticed that the price now in 2006 was $59.98 - still a good deal and a natural reduction as the item is no longer new. I emailed Amazon and requested a price reduction of $20, more as a joke - just to see what they would say. They issued me a refund within 12 hours!!! and you could have blown me over with a feather. This is the quality of customer service that I generally get from Amazon.com. Look up your old purchases and see if they have gone down in price. YOU MIGHT JUST GET A NEW DISCOUNT!!!
Hope this info helps...

PLEASE, no mention of or linking to competitive sites!

Since this item was shipped so recently, I have requested a refund
of $40.00 to your credit card. This amount reflects the difference
between the price you were charged and the discounted price. The
refund should be processed in the next few days and will appear as a
credit on your next billing statement.

OMG, THAT'S AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! That means I got my nephew a bmx free style bike originally 300 marked down twice plus 2 codes and adjustments make it 69 dollars shipped!!

Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a 41 dollar credit at office depot yesterday and my 20 dollar paypal came through on the 13th!!

Having a great shopping season thanks to my friends on Mycoupons!!

A digital camera I purchased less than a week ago has now gone down $5. My question - if I request an adjustment for this, what if it goes down again? Should I wait, or could I request a second adjustment if it went down again. With my luck, I'll wait and it will go back up! Any advice appreciated!

They will do multiple adjustments so you are better off getting the discount now in case the price goes back up.

Amazon is very good with price adjustments. As I recall they do it within 30 days of purchase. I have called them in the past and had no problems at all and I have read as others have posted that they will do it multiple times if the items price goes down even lower. I had this happen with some shirts I bought my husband . . . They were a steal at the price I paid and the price went down . . . A quick call and the adjustment was made.

When they split from Toys R Us and had huge toy sales I put in a large order . . . Only one box showed up so I called and they sent me another shippment . . . And the first missing one arrived the same day. I decided I liked the items so much that when I called to let them know what happened (I did not feel right keeping the extra shippment) I asked them if I kept them would they charge me the sale prices that were no longer in effect -- and they said yes! I was thrilled to have these extra items to put in the gift closet as they were actually quite nice and very cheaply priced.

I got a $50 Amazon gift certificate last night for Hanukkah! I can't wait to add it to the others I have received over the course of the year so I can get something very nice for my family.

Thanks so much for letting me know this. I went ahead and emailed them last night - today the price had gone back up higher than I originally paid, but they are going to credit my account for the $5 that it dropped (for one day). $5 isn't much, but hey - I'll take it. Who knows - it may goi back down. Thanks again.
