Target has Coach bags

I thought I was going crazy from 90% off shopping, but there they were in the purse dept. They aren't anything that they carry in the Coach store...but still nice but $199. I even took a picture on my phone, but I don't know how to load it so I can post it.

I had heard that Coach was suing Target for this but then Coach found out that Target bought them in a warehouse sale.

Well now. That is sure to cause a paradigm shift. Marshall's carries Coach shoes for women too. I tried on a pair cuz I wanted to know what would warrant $100 for a pair of slip on shoes. Nada......

Coach apparently decides who can and can't carry their products. We have a higher end department store who no longer can, so I can see why they wouldn't want Target carrying them. Who bought them for Target? I can't see their buyers being able to get them.

Actually a couple of months ago I read an article that the Target ones are not authentic and Target was being sued by Coach. This came up on another board I frequent.

That lawsuit was dropped by Coach when Target proved that they were authentic after all. Target had bought them at a warehouse liquidation from an authorized Coach retailer.

I found it funny that Coach had stated in the lawsuit that their own engineers had inspected the Target bags and declared that they were counterfeit. They didn't recognize their own product!

Does anyone have the article that states that Coach dropped the lawsuit against Target when they proved to be real? This is all very interesting.

Target should sue Coach for libel and slander.

The sad thing is these bags are made in the same factories as the cheap ones. You are just paying for the name.

I see Coach & Dooney at both Marshalls & TJ Maxx on a regular basis. I've been tempted a few times, but wait until I go to the Coach outlet that way I can pick what I really want.
