Does anyone know where I can get an outfit without having to order from the American Girl catalog? It doesn't have to actually be the "American Girl" brand, it just needs to fit the doll.

I know Michaels sell the dolls, but do they sell the clothes?

I have found several outifts a LOT CHEAPER that the American Girl site. On Ebay---there are a lot of ladies who sew little outfits for the 18" dolls. I found some very cute ones for Christmas for my two girls. Also---watch Americangirl.com clearance----it should be here pretty soon.

Target has clothes for 18" dolls. I bought some last year, I believe the line is called Generations.

Any 18" clothes will work. Believe it or not Michael's and AC Moore each have a few outfits that fit 18" dolls. They are about $6 but if you use the 40% off coupons that they always have you can get them really cheap. Not much of a selection but a few.

I buy most of the AG clothes from craft fairs and such (i.e. hand made). HTH

American girl actually has a monthly sale and clearance area on there website. They don't have clearance up right now. But you can usually get a dress or outfit for $8 to $10, when the clearance is up

I get some of the items on sale at the AG website as well.
