I do not use all Mary Kay products but I do think that the eye remover that they sell is great.

I read this someone (can't remember where) but here it is -- very inexpensive!

Get you an empty bottle (I used one that mascera remover came in) and mix up part baby shampoo and baby oil and shake it up real good. I've been using it for over a year now and I wouldn't use anything else.

It's certainly not the cheapest, but I love the Lancome eye makeup remover that comes in the blue bottle!

I vote for the Lancome one too! You asked for the best, right? This one is not cheap, but I feel it's the best! Not greasy, but all the gunk comes off!

I use just plain baby oil. In fact, that's all I've ever used for about 34 yrs.

ETA: I use waterproof mascara.

I just use hand lotion, a mild unscented type.

I use mineral oil and a cotton ball, it's cheap and doesn't dry my skin, and it even takes off water proof mascara.

WOW! Thanks for all the ideas!

A couple of questions:

1. the baby shampoo/oil mixture.....how much of each? Is it equal parts? Does this 'blur' your vision like some oils?

2. Mineral Oil...same as above, does this blur your vision?

Mary Kay is great.....However, you might also try Neutrogena's. My sister used to work for MK corporate and she feels the Neutrogena is very close to being the same product.

Also, for any of those asking, "baby shampoo on your eyes?" This is what specialists recommend to wash your inner eyelids with. Supposedly it is something we should all be doing. I know several people that have been told to use it on a regular basis to help reduce the risk of infection and inflammation.

I have always heard that using Baby Oil/Mineral Oil was not good for your tear ducts. I love the Mary Kay remover!

I had always used just plain old baby oil and found Johnson's CREAMY Baby Oil. It doesn't leave the film that the oily baby oil leaves behind and wipes off cleanly. Plus, it's very inexpensive!

For years I always used only baby oil and it works just fine. Then when I used to sell Mary Kay, I would get tons of samples so I just started using their brand of eye makeup remover. I love it and have enough bottles and makeup left to probably last me a few years! LOL... ~Lisa

I used to use the Lancome remover until a friend told me that Loreal was made by the same manufacturer and the eye makeup remover was the same - so I changed to the Loreal, it works as well and is much cheaper. Then the cosmetics person at Long's drugs told me their brand was the same as Loreal, so I changed again and the Long's brand is cheaper yet. I also think it works as well as the Lancome.
