My daughter has a Razor Kick. She is 10 and just over 100 lbs. She has been riding this same one since she was 6 and she still loves it. We have just moved the handle bar up for her. My niece has a Kick and my 3 year old nephew can ride it. My sister and I bought the new Fuzion scooters for the girls for Xmas. They both still go back to the basic Razor every now and then. |

I got my DS 9 and DD 8 both razor scooters for Christmas. They use them all the time. My oldest DS 17 now used to have one and it lasted for years. The ones I got my kids at Christmas were only like 20 at Walmart. Jen

DS -4yrs old has the Razor jr. It has 2 wheels in the back. He loves it. All the kids in the neighborhood have Razors. Prices are pretty good on these. I'm sure they will go on sale for spring/summer time. They usually go on clearance in the fall and then again after christmas(at least at Targets in San Diego area).

Wal-Mart sells two different kinds. The regular one is $19.84 and the Razor 125 which has larger wheels is $28.84. My DD has had one since she was 5yr old (will turn 10yr Friday) and she's never gotten hurt with hers. I don't feel that they are any more dangerous than a bike or even roller skates. It really just depends on the terrain they are trying to ride on and if they pay attention to what they are doing. If they're trying to ride on an extremely bumpy driveway then yeah they hve a higher chance or getting hurt.

My 2 boys have the basic $20 one. DH has the upgraded one with the wheelie bar. I think the basic one would be just fine for the 7yo. I do need to get new grips for both of theirs already though. Well, I guess they have had them for 2 summers, so didn't expect them to last too long. But the rest of the scooter has held up just fine! They used to make carry bags for them. We had two kids fold up chairs that they outgrew, but I kept the bags and the scooters fold down and fit into the bags perfectly! |

Are you looking for info on the metal scooter with wheels a little bigger than roller blades and a handle, or the electric one? My daughter has a Razor Pocket Mod Scooter. You can find it Toys "R" Us - Razor Pocket Mod Bistro Scooter at Toysrus. If this is what you want, you plug it in and it charges. It's like a mini-vespa type scooter. She absolutely loves it! We have definitely gotten a lot of use out of it. |

I am looking for a metal 'foot powered' scooter for DS. I think I'm going to get him an A2 or A3 -- that is what his friends have and he rides theirs all the time. Sarah......mom to Jason & Devin Quote:
